Umbilical Cord Stem Cells
When patients come to Dr. Steenblock he goes through their medical history, orders any needed additional testing or procedures, and then takes all this information and analyzes it to determine what treatment approach is most likely to affect recovery or healing. If he feels some form of stem cell therapy is indicated he will zero in on the one that published research and his own experience indicates is going to confer the greatest benefits. Often this involves using a patient’s own stem cell rich bone marrow or fat tissue right in Dr. Steenblock’s clinic. However, in some instances he will make a referral to doctors doing umbilical cord stem cells in Mexico.
Dr. Steenblock only relies on the Best for Umbilical Cord Stem Cells
When Dr. Steenblock feels a patient will respond well to umbilical cord stem cells he does not send them to just any clinic. Rather, he relies on those he knows who use cells that are produced using the highest disease screening and laboratory quality control standards. In addition he uses doctors who have a wealth of experience with using human umbilical cord stem cells and who also have MDs on their staff who can handle emergencies should they arise.
Many of these clinics actually rely on Dr. Steenblock for input concerning their programs. He has, in fact, been instrumental in the creation of genetically modified cord blood stem cells that were successfully used on various forms of cancer as well as a devastating neurologic disease called Metachromatic Leukodystrophy.
Umbilical Cord Stem Cells in Mexico
In 2005 Dr. Steenblock teamed up with a team of doctors at one Mexican clinic he consults for and helped design and execute one of the first clinical studies ever carried out involving the use of cord blood stem cells in children with cerebral palsy. This pilot study was very successful and was subsequently published in the journal Medical Hypotheses & Research.
